About

Day One Living is a first-of-its-kind luxury home experience created by Raleigh Custom Homes, Dwell Proper, and Best of Raleigh, bringing the home, its interiors, and the way you live in it together from the very beginning.

Instead of waiting until construction is complete to stage a finished home, Raleigh Custom Homes and Dwell Proper collaborate from the start, thoughtfully considering the architecture, scale, and character of each space as the furnishings are curated. Every piece is intentionally selected to belong in the home, not simply to fill it.

And the experience doesn’t end with the homebuyer. Every furnishing featured throughout the Day One Living homes is shoppable, allowing Parade visitors to discover the pieces, explore them room by room, and purchase their favorites directly through the Day One Living shopping experience.

At the heart of the concept is a celebration of North Carolina craftsmanship. The three homes are furnished with pieces from Universal Furniture, Theodore Alexander, Fairfield Chair, Loloi Rugs, Wildwood Home, and Kravet, showcasing the state long known as the Furniture Capital of the World.

Raleigh Custom Homes builds the extraordinary setting. Dwell Proper curates how it lives.

Best of Raleigh brings the story and the experience to the community.

For the homebuyer, the result is something rarely offered in luxury real estate: the opportunity to purchase a completely turn-key residence and walk through the door on closing day with everything already in its place.

But you don’t have to buy the home to experience Day One Living. Every furnishing featured throughout the collection is individually shoppable, giving anyone the opportunity to bring a piece of the Day One Living aesthetic into their own home. Many of these furnishings are traditionally available only to the design trade, not directly to consumers, making Day One Living a rare opportunity to discover and purchase designer-selected pieces that are often only accessible through an interior designer.

Buy the home. Shop the room. Or simply find the one piece you love.
